Welcome to the JiVe Academy website.
The JiVe Academy of Music and Performing Arts caters to musicians and performing artists of all levels and ages. We hold classes in Leixlip, Kildare in various instruments, dance and drama. We also have a variety of different adult courses available.  Theatre is simply what cannot be expressed by any other means; a complexity of words, movements, gestures that convey a vision of the world inexpressible in any other way.

Drama develops self-esteem and encourages creativity and imagination. It develops communication skills and it is a proven fact that students who have participated in dramatic activities have less difficulty speaking in public, are more persuasive in their communications and have a more positive, confident self image. Participation in dramatic activity requires self control and discipline that will serve the student well in all aspects of life. Students of drama learn to work together as no other art form is truly more collaborative.
Plato once said that music is a more potent instrument than any other for education.
Recent research has found that music uses both sides of the brain, a fact that makes it valuable in all areas of development. Music affects the growth of a child’s brain academically, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Music saturates every aspect of our lives. It can change our moods, can make us feel joy and can fuel our creativity. Music is academic, sparks the imagination, evokes emotions, is a universal language, enhances learning and above all gives pleasure.
It is an art form that reflects life.
JiVe Academy classes take place in Scoil Ui Dhalaigh, Leixlip on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4.00pm and 9.30pm. See Contact Us for directions.
